Got a package today that should prove useful to have handy for the next few months.
Can’t get any clearer info than from the source itself.

Just about the same color as your mustang!

Hey quick question, could you look up valve cover torque? I’ve been seeing people posting conflicting information on the 5.0 specs , and am curious if it reall y is supposed to be different depending on year. T he Ford book for my ’ 95 says that the 5.0 valve covers get 12-15 lb-ft .

I am real proud of the 7 bookcases I bought to fill with shop manuals for my mustang. They should help me put it together again when I take most of it apart.

Huh . Yeah , s omebody quoted the Chilton book as saying 36-60 lb-in ( which would be 3-5 lb-ft) f or 86-93 models. T hat’s way off!

I could check if they were refering to the 2.3L but that seems pretty low.

Hmm I wonder.
FWIW, the ’95 Ford book says 12-15 lb-ft for the 5.0, but 71-106 lb-in (approx 6-9 lb-ft ) for the 3.8. The 94-04 Chilton book seems to think they shou ld both be 12-15 lb-ft.
